Summary

The global liberal élite control the world's financial system, high tech giants, culture and science, as well as the Western military machine and intelligence services. The global liberal elite has total control over technology and social networks, which are used to control society. By means of Big Data, global liberal elites own all the data about every person in the world. These élites are continuously enhancing tools for monitoring and influencing the masses and are thus moving closer to achieving liberal goals.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about a conspiracy of secret global liberal elites that dominate the world, control governments and are establishing a system of totalitarian control over the world’s population. In the US, these elites are identified as the Deep State.

There is no evidence to support these conspiracy theories: the concept of secret global elites and Deep State, ruling from behind the scenes is a frequent narrative, used by pro-Kremlin disinformation outlets, along with the idea that Western liberalism is increasingly totalitarian.

It is not true, as the article suggests, that the goal of liberalism or of “liberal élites” is to establish a global totalitarian dictatorship. Liberalism is a political doctrine based on liberty, consent of the governed, individual rights (including civil rights and human rights) and equality before the law.

Furthermore, there is no evidence to support the article’s claim that “global liberal elites” are in control of the world's financial, cultural and technological systems, just as it is a blatant disinformation to claim that these secret élites control social networks, Western intelligence services and military forces.

Read similar cases claiming that liberalism is a crime against humanity or Facebook and Twitter are controlled from a centre in the US.

Recurring disinformation narrative about vaccination, presenting the vaccines approved by WHO as not so efficient as Russian Sputnik V. See here a similar case claiming that Moldovan doctors refuse to be vaccinated, in general, against COVID-19.

The claim comes as two groups of doctors from the Gagauz autonomy of the Republic of Moldova asked the Ministry of Health not to send them AstraZeneca vaccines, donated by Romania, as there are no people willing to be vaccinated. The text quotes the head of the hospital in Ceadir-Lunga with the statement: “Our team agrees to be vaccinated. But they want either Pfizer or Sputnik V.”

Russia already destroyed its chemical stockpile, the US didn’t

In September 2017, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) did in fact confirm the full destruction of the 39,967 tonnes of chemical weapons possessed by Russia, but Novichoks were never declared to the OPCW and were not included in the Chemical Weapons Convention until 2019. Russia is a member of OPCW.
