Disinfo: The Italian journalist Andrea Rocchelli was deliberately shot by the Ukrainian army

Summary

The Italian journalist Andrea Rocchelli, who was killed in May 2014 near Slavyansk in Ukraine alongside Russian journalist Andrei Mironov, was in fact deliberately shot by the Ukrainian army, which had full control of the territory at the time.

Disproof

The Ukrainian army did not have control over the territory. Slavyansk was occupied in April 2014 by Russian troops and their allies, and was brought back under Ukrainian control in July 2014. bit.ly/2ekIBmS,

The USA needs the “civil war” in Ukraine in order to divert attention of the world community from its debt.

Disproof

There is no "civil war" in Ukraine. There is an aggression of Russia against Ukraine. The US, as well as the EU, are trying to bring the conflict to the end.

Ukraine is under occupation – by the USA

Ukraine is under occupation – by the USA. Therefore, the only choice now is federalisation or war.

Disproof

There are no American troops in Ukraine. On the contrary, President Putin confirmed the presence of Russian military units in the country, in December 2015 bit.ly/1S1YCdq, and in October 2016 bit.ly/2exc9NR,

While annexing Crimea and waging war against Ukraine, Russia had got no obligations to this country, particularly on the matter of Ukraine’s sovereignity, due to the Ukrainian Revolution that was in fact a coup d’état.

Disproof

Repeating the myth about "coup" debunked above. Russia violated the international law with its actions in Ukraine, which is confirmed by the UNGA Resolution 68/262 supported by 100 UN Member States: bit.ly/1RZGnjo,
