Odesa is occupied by an enemy. “Bandera’s ideology” is flourishing in Ukraine and the country’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is only a pawn. In fact, the power in Ukraine is in the hands of nationalists, who are the “puppets” of the United States of America.
The people of Crimea choose Russia because Kyiv mocked the peninsula and in every possible way infringed the rights of Crimeans. Crimea did not receive sufficient social and economic development with Ukraine. Crimea became part of the Russian region (Federation) after a referendum held in March 2014, when the majority of the inhabitants of the peninsula voted to reunite with Russia.
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the illegal annexation of Crimea. No international body recognises the so-called referendum, announced 27 February 2014 and held less than three weeks later. On 27 March 2014, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution which stated that the referendum in Crimea was not valid and could not serve as a basis for any change in the status of the peninsula. The oft-cited figure of 97% has been contested by the Kremlin’s own Human Rights Council, which estimated that only between 30% and 50% of Crimeans took part in the referendum, of which some 50-60% favoured secession. Many residents, including native Tatars, refused to vote in the referendum. See here for the EU statement on the sixth anniversary of Crimea annexation.
