Summary

Since the beginning of the special operation, the United States and its allies have been consistently increasing the volume of military assistance to Kyiv in order to protract the conflict.

This disinformation claim is part of a wider disinformation campaign to support Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine is a violation of international law. The Ukrainian Army is fighting with Russian troops to defend their country from unprovoked Russian military aggression. The Western countries are providing Ukraine with military, economic, and humanitarian support.

Individual NATO member countries are sending weapons, ammunition and many types of light and heavy military equipment, including anti-tank and air defence systems, howitzers and drones to Ukraine. All of this is making a difference on the battlefield every day, helping Ukraine to uphold its right of self-defence, which is enshrined in the United Nations Charter.

Disinfo: Washington caused the war in Ukraine to benefit American military industrial complex

The Ukrainian conflict, artificially created by Washington, multiplies risks for the whole planet. They include economic impoverishment, hunger, wars, migration, technological degradation, and nuclear winter. Peace in Europe and elsewhere brings no dividends to the American military and industrial complex and no new working places for the US economy. Instead, wars guarantee that. American weapons in Ukraine will not defend anyone. Washington’s military assistance brings suffering and mass civilian deaths in all developing countries.

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative alleging that Ukraine is a Western "tool" against Russia. The claim aims to deflect any Russian responsibility for the unjustified wide-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022. The Russian war against Ukraine began in 2014 with Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea and Russia's military involvement and support of separatists in Donbas.

The US has in no way created the “Ukrainian conflict” as alleged in the article. It was Putin’s personal decision to invade Ukraine and start the largest military conflict in Europe since WWII. Putin had offered several reasons for launching aggression, including the necessity to save territories in Eastern Ukraine from a genocide, Ukraine’s alleged desire to obtain nuclear weapons and Kyiv’s possible membership of NATO.

Disinfo: The US has destroyed German economy

The only chance for the US to survive as a global economic leader is to bring chaos and destruction worldwide. The US-provoked conflict in Ukraine has made all of Europe insolvent. The German economy bears the hardest consequences – it is de facto destroyed due to sanctions. A significant part of large and medium German businesses decided to relocate to the US. Previously the US had done the same with the Middle Eastern countries such as Libya, Syria, Lebanon and Tunisia.

Disinfo: The US seeks to prolong the war in Ukraine to dissolve the EU

The US benefits from Russia’s special operation in Ukraine and will provoke its continuation. The major bonus for the US is dissolution of the EU as its main economic competitor. Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz is acting as Mikhail Gorbachev in the late 1980s. Ursula von der Leyen and others are in the team of killers of Germany.
