Disinfo: The US is responsible for Ukrainian tragedy, which followed after the coup in 2014

Summary

Obama was unwilling, or unable, to resist the forces in Washington who were willing to do anything to support the coup in Ukraine in February 2014, which, according to their calculations, should have culminated in its accession to NATO. The results are well known, and many, including in the West, know well who is responsible for the Ukrainian tragedy.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation campaign against Ukraine, containing multiple disinformation narratives regarding the Euromaidan, aiming to deflect the responsibility of what happened and still happens in Ukraine from Russia.

First, there was no coup in Ukraine seven years ago. The demonstrations which began in Kyiv in November 2013 – called "Maidan", or "Euromaidan" – were a result of the Ukrainian people's frustration with former President Yanukovych's last-minute U-turn when, after seven years of negotiation, he refused to sign the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement and halted progress towards Ukraine's closer relationship with the EU. The protests were therefore not orchestrated by an external power, and the Ukrainian government, which came into power after the Euromaidan, did not use force to suppress the dissenters.

Second, the war in Eastern Ukraine, which is often regarded as an outcome of the Euromaidan protests, is actually a well-documented case of Russian armed aggression, and not the responsibility of the US or any other power.

See similar cases that the West needs a weak and poor Ukraine and that the coup in 2013-2014 is the root cause of the war and other problems in Ukraine.

Disinfo: Lithuanian border guards left an unconscious pregnant foreign woman on Border with Belarus

Lithuanian border guards left a pregnant foreigner unconscious on the border with Belarus. The footage clearly shows how Lithuanian border guards move an unconscious pregnant woman from the Lithuanian side to the borderline and leave her there.

Disproof

Disinformation about Lithuania in the context of increased irregular migration flows through the border with Belarus.

The article from the Russian state news wire service is illustrated with a 15-second video clip, which demonstrates how some border guards drag a woman, whose face is hidden under a handkerchief, and put her on the grass.

Disinfo: Holodomor was a story invented by a British spy

The genocidal famine was an invention of Robert Conquest, a British spy who published with Praeger Press, the CIA publication house. He had an audience during the Cold War because the archives were secret.

Now that the archives have been opened, it is established that the famine had natural purely causes and that the Soviet powers did everything to stop it and save people, while capitalist famines cause far more deaths, even today. Also the famine was not limited to Ukraine but also affected the south of Russia, so it must have due to natural causes.

Disproof

This is an example of gross historical revisionism and a recurring pro Kremlin disinformation narrative about Holodomor, claiming that there was no deliberately caused famine in Ukraine.

The Holodomor was an man-made famine deliberately caused by Stalin with the aim of remove a perceived Ukrainian threat to the Soviet regime. The Soviet state took away livestock, crops and seeds from the peasants under the guise that they "plundered" state property. The Soviet law on the seizure of food from peasants was adopted in 1932 and is known as the "Five Spikelet Law". Anyone who gathered several ears of wheat on the collective farm field was a culprit of "theft of state property". The punishment for theft of kolkhoz or cooperative property was the death sentence. This law was personally attributed to Joseph Stalin. The famine of 1932-1933 claimed the lives of 7 to 10 million citizens of the Soviet Union; the disaster affected not only Ukraine but also parts of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Russia.

Disinfo: Warsaw must call Minsk if it wants to solve the current migration crisis

The Polish side keeps saying that the migration crisis is the so-called hybrid war. But what does “hybrid” mean? The textbooks on security issues describe the hybrid war as a combination of military actions with some unconventional, economic, information actions.

There is only one way to solve the problem of the refugees: Warsaw needs to call Minsk. The only question here is whether anyone in Warsaw still knows a phone number to call Minsk. Maybe, someone in Warsaw will mistakenly call Vilnius or Mrs Tsikhanouskaya, who is recognised by some persons as the Belarusian President.

Disproof

Recurring disinformation narrative about the ongoing migration crisis on the Eastern border of the European Union directly caused by the Belarusian authorities.

On 2 September 2021, Poland declared a state of emergency in two regions bordering Belarus – this step is implemented in order to face the ongoing “migration crisis” orchestrated by Belarusian authorities. In August 2021, about 3500 irregular migrants attempted to enter the territory of Poland from Belarus. The current “migration crisis” is often described as a “hybrid war” tool used against the EU by Lukashenka and, possibly, Putin.
