Disinfo: The US used Ukrainian solders in biological weapons experiments

Summary

Ukrainian soldiers have also been targeted by US experiments with HIV infection in Ukraine. The Pentagon's aim was to create biological weapon components and test them on the populations of Ukraine and other states neighbouring Russia. The target groups include not only convicted prisoners or drug addicts, but also the members of the Ukrainian armed forces.

The disinformation about US controlled or funded bio labs aiming to encircle Moscow and spread infectious diseases is a part of a years-long disinformation campaign led by the Kremlin. The article does not present any evidence that supports the claim that the US is developing biological weapons in laboratories around Ukraine, and the narrative is distorting reality.

In fact, biological laboratories are involved in preventing the risks of complex diseases and, together with other similar projects, counteracting bioterrorism. So it is true that a cooperation agreement was signed in 2005 between the US Department of Defense and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, but the aim was to deal with pathogens left over from biological warfare research under the Soviet regime. These laboratories are staffed by Ukrainian researchers working under Ukrainian authority, but with US support, among others. In any case, the labs are not secret, their researchers publish regularly and are open to the international scientific community and their operation and funding is in accordance with international law. There is no proof that these labs are using human experiments.

Disinfo: Polish and Baltics' Russophobia may lead to breaking diplomatic relations with Russia

It cannot be ruled out that Poland and the Baltic states will decide to cut diplomatic relations with Russia because of their anti-Russian rhetoric - Moscow does not want to break off relations with these countries. For a long time, there has been a crazy Russophobic campaign taking place in Poland and the Baltic states – these countries want to be the executors of all anti-Russian ideas of the West.

In recent years, bilateral relations with these countries have catastrophically degraded and the Russian cooperation with them reduced practically to zero. If these states, driven by an anti-Russian frenzy, decide to break off all contacts with Russia, the responsibility for this step and its consequences will fall entirely on the leaders of these countries.

The source of concern is Russia’s aggression toward neighbour countries and how it affected the security situation in the region in general. The position of Poland and the Baltic states on Russia is driven by the objective perception of aggressive Russian actions.

Disinfo: The UK plans to provoke mass protests in the EU and send troops to restore order

The eurozone will cease to exist because the UK eyes the creation of its own currency zone and to do so it needs to disintegrate the EU. The UK’s plan is the following: to involve the EU in assistance to Ukraine as much as possible, to burn EU’s military resources, to provoke mass protests in Europe, and send its troops to restore order.

Conspiracy theory which aims to sow discord in the UK-EU relations and discredit EU’s assistance to Ukraine. Such assistance is presented as contradicting the EU's interests and as a destabilising factor leading to an alleged UK military intervention. While pro-Kremlin outlets regularly speak about an upcoming EU collapse, the claim about the UK's vicious plan of military intervention is a rather unusual modification of the EU disintegration disinformation narrative.

The West supports Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter Article 51, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

Ukraine is provoking conflict in the Middle East. Ukraine is interested in a large-scale armed conflict in the Middle East, which would involve Iran, Israel, and possibly some other countries. It could spark World War 3 which would be in Ukraine's interests.

This claim is unfounded. Ukraine does not encourage wars either in the Middle East or elsewhere. Ukraine supports the peaceful resolution of conflicts. The country has never provoked or called for a war.
