Disinfo: The US wishes to destabilise Belarus and provoke a war, Polish ruling elites dream of military intervention

Summary

Poland does not consider Belarus a political subject and treats it as part of its lost eastern lands. The Polish political establishment dreams of Polish troops entering Minsk. To make this dream true, the Poles rely on NATO and the US. Some Polish nationalists wish to start a military attack against Belarus as soon as possible, assisted by NATO military. At the same time, they do not need the Belarusian people. The views of Polish nationalists coincide with Hitler’s. Given such views, Polish authorities do not wish to strengthen the Belarusian statehood. Ukraine in its present borders is not acceptable for Poland. The worse the situation in Ukraine, the more chance that Poland will shoot in Ukraine’s back. Belarus is part of the Russian civilisation. Moscow sees no difference between the Belarusian people and state. Russia supports the Belarusian state until it follows the will of its people. If it goes against the people’s will, Russia will contribute to the extinction of the Belarusian state and Poles will witness the changed borders. Foreign financial speculators believe that Belarus’s destruction is developing too slowly. They actively prepare an “orange revolution” in Belarus, and the leading political role here will belong to Americans. The US, in its present state, is only capable of existing amid global uncertainty, and Belarus is a good chance to increase it. If the US’s plan to destabilise Belarus works out, a war will break out and Poland will become an arena of military actions. In this case, due to modern military technologies, the Polish state will inevitably cease to exist just as most of its population. The only way for Polish ruling elites to prevent this scenario is to do their best for nothing to happen in Belarus. However, contrary to common sense, Polish authorities seem to follow the opposite course. The history of Polish statehood is somewhat schizoid as Polish political elites repeatedly follow the course of the state’s destruction.

Disproof

This message contains a number of unfounded speculations and conspiracy theories, aimed at discrediting Poland, the US and NATO. It is consistent with recurring disinformation narratives about Poland's ''imperial dreams'', Western attempts to organise a colour revolution in Belarus and to disrupt Belarusian-Russian relations. The disinformation message involves a link between present-time Poland and Nazi Germany. It also promotes the concept of Russian civilisation / world and implicitly justifies Russia's aggressive actions towards Belarus in case the latter wishes to embark on pro-Western course. Poland, a NATO state, respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbouring countries. At times pro-Kremlin media outlets refer to the concept of the IV Rzeczpospolita, or Fourth Republic, as a manifestation of Poland's imperial intentions. However, this concept has nothing to do with establishing a Polish empire at the expense of Poland's eastern neighbours, including Belarus and Ukraine. Read more about the use of conspiracy here. Neither the US, the West and NATO are preparing a colour revolution in Belarus as alleged. See earlier disinformation cases alleging that Poland and the Baltic states are the Western world's jackals who can produce a global catastrophe, that Poland may attack four European countries including Belarus, that Poland wants to dismember Ukraine and re-establish a Polish empire, and that the Polish doctrine of IV Rzeczpospolita is part of the US doctrine of global dominance.

In 1934, Poland and Germany signed a secret protocol about common actions against the USSR

The presented document is also known as the “secret protocol to Hitler-Pilsudski Pact”. It contained the information that the “Polish Government undertook to provide German soldiers with free passage if these troops were called upon to react to provocations from the East or North-East” (meaning, in the situation of armed conflict with the USSR).

Disproof

This message is part of the Kremlin’s policy of historical revisionism and an attempt to erode the disastrous historical role of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact by stating that other European countries signed various international agreements with Germany throughout the 1930s. The same article contains another disinformation message about France, Germany and Poland planning to partition the USSR even before Hitler came to power. It is impossible to compare the German-Polish Non-Aggression Pact of 1934 with the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact as the former was a standard international agreement aimed at the mutual recognition of borders and a declaration that existing political contradictions would be solved through diplomatic tools. There is no evidence that this pact contained any secret protocols, which assumed common aggressive actions of Germany and Poland against the USSR or other countries. Moreover, the pact did not include any agreements on advanced political, economic and military relations between Poland and Germany. Read similar examples of the Russian historical revisionism concerning Poland such as Poland posed a military threat to the USSR in 1938-1939, Nazi Germany considered Poland its best ally, if Poland realised a rational policy in 1939, Moscow would have had a different approach towards it and the German-Polish Non-Aggression Pact of 1934 assumed the partition of the USSR. France, Germany and Poland planned to partition the USSR even before Hitler came to power

A classified report from the OGPU (special Soviet state security institution) speaks about the negotiations between the German Chancellor von Papen and French Prime Minister Édouard Herriot. The goal of these talks was to establish a military union between Germany, France and Poland against the USSR. It was before Hitler came to power when the potential allies mentally divided the Soviet Caucasus, Ukraine and even Sakhalin. Poland was supposed to be rewarded with Soviet Ukraine.

Disproof

This message is part of the Kremlin’s policy of historical revisionism and an attempt to erode the disastrous historical role of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact by the statement that Western countries planned aggressive actions against the USSR. The statement that France, Germany and Poland planned to partition the USSR before Hitler came to power is a clear historical manipulation not confirmed by any available documents. The same article contains another disinformation message about Poland and Germany signing a secret protocol assuming common actions against the USSR. The OGPU was the Soviet secret police (1923-1934) responsible for political repressions and functioning of the Gulag - this organisation was the successor of the "Cheka" and the forerunner of the KGB. The signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was a mutual decision of two totalitarian regimes (Nazi Germany and the Stalinist USSR) aimed at the division of Eastern and Central Europe between these two powers. It is a proven fact that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact contained the Secret Supplementary Protocol, which assumed the division of Poland and other Eastern European countries between the USSR and Germany. Thus, the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact enabled the German and Soviet military aggression against Poland in September 1939, which resulted in the occupation of this country by Germany and USSR, triggering the beginning of WWII. Read similar examples of the Russian historical revisionism concerning this issue such as The signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact thwarted the UK’s expansionist plans in Europe, The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact did not violate the rights of the Polish state, The shift of all blame for WWII outbreak at the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact the best example of manipulation of history. Winston Churchill was controlled by the Jews

The man directly responsible for the demise of the British Empire is Winston Churchill. The policies which he pursued before and during WWII were diametrically opposed to the interests of the British people. Churchill acted as he did because he consciously and deliberately served Jewish interests from at least 1938 until the end of the war. Shadowy Jewish benefactors offered to alleviate Churchill’s financial problems with hundreds of thousands of pounds in “loans.” He would repay his new masters by obsessively pursuing the destruction of Germany, regardless of the cost to Britain.

Disproof

The article indulges what is arguably the oldest conspiracy theory in existence: that the Jewish people are an international cabal secretly controlling or poisoning the "elite" strata of human society.
