The West promised Moscow in the course of the negotiations on German unification in 1990 that NATO will not expand eastwards. In the book, the Swiss historian Daniele Ganser also discusses NATO’s eastward expansion, although the West promised Moscow in the course of the negotiations on German unification in 1990 that it would not come to that.
The [historical] facts will not stop Western mainstream media and Twitter “experts” from making various accusations against President Putin and the Russian Federation. The [historical] facts will not stop the Poles from denying their dark history from the 1930s. It is a part of a dangerous US/NATO campaign aimed at defamation and isolation of the Russian Federation and its President. Thus, the propaganda war around World War II will continue.
This message is part of the Kremlin’s policy of historical revisionism, it accuses the USA, EU and NATO of the“falsification and re-writing” of WWII history in order to harm Russia. Any disagreement with the Kremlin’s official view on the history of WWII is automatically labelled by Russia as support for “Nazism” or “falsification of history”. The same article makes another claim about the European Parliament and the OSCE promoting false history. The claim that the USA and NATO carry out a propaganda war around WWII history aimed at the “defamation and isolation” of Russia and President Putin should be perceived as a conspiracy theory. The European Parliament resolution on the importance of European remembrance for the future of Europe stressed the fact that WWII was an immediate result of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. The resolution is aimed at the promotion of historical remembrance about WWII and condemnation of totalitarian ideologies. It is a proven fact that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact contained the Secret Supplementary Protocol, which assumed the division of Poland and other Eastern European countries between the USSR and Germany. Thus, the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact enabled the German and Soviet military aggression against Poland in September 1939, which resulted in the occupation of this country by Germany and USSR, triggering the beginning of WWII. See other examples of this message: “Fake history” became a norm in the Western World, Western countries revise WWII history to evade responsibility for allowing Hitler to gather strength for the attack on the USSR and The European Parliament resolution on the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is aimed at the demonisation of Russia.
