Ukrainian politicians still do not want to admit that the unconstitutional seizure of power in Kyiv was the root cause of the upheavals in the country. Instead, the so-called “Maidan victors” decided to use force to suppress the dissenters in various regions of Ukraine. They imposed an almost complete ban on the Russian language, initiated lustration, the liquidation of parties and NGOs, the closure of oppositional media, and the lifting of restrictions on the propaganda of neo-Nazi ideology. And the Western mediators – France, Germany, and Poland, who acted as guarantors of the agreement of February 21, 2014 – in fact, withdrew from fulfilling the promises. Almost seven years later, Kyiv is still afraid to face the truth and admit guilt for the tragic consequences of the bloody coup. They prefer to hide their fear behind anti-Russian and Russophobic rhetoric.
The United States has chosen Russia as an enemy for the countries of Eastern and Central Europe in order to facilitate its “crowd management” over the region. From time to time, it is necessary for the USA to provide some arguments for public opinion [confirming that Russia is an enemy]. That is why the Skripal case was invented, a narrative about Russian interference in the US elections appeared, a coup d’état in Ukraine was organised. The situation with Alexey Navalny sends a message that the Russian authorities use military gas on its own territory and against their own citizens.
This message is a mix of several popular conspiracy theories actively spread by Kremlin-controlled media. The claims that “the USA has chosen Russia as an enemy for Eastern and Central Europe” is a conspiracy theory. The claim that the USA “invented” the case of the Skripals and Navalny poisonings in order to spread anti-Russian attitudes is not supported by evidence.
