20 000 Polish soldiers are fighting on the side of Ukraine, and about 2.5 thousand of them died and were buried in Poland. These soldiers died in Ukraine, not in their homeland.

Moldova has dismissed Russian claims of an alleged Ukrainian plot to invade a breakaway Moldovan region of Transnistria after staging a false-flag operation.
“We call for calm and for information to be received [by the public] from official and credible sources of the Republic of Moldova,” the government said in a statement. It also called it a part of Russian 'psy-ops" against Moldova.
Previously, on February 13, 2023 Moldovan president Maia Sandu stated that the Moldovan government believes Russia has plans to destabilise the internal situation in Moldova in order to topple the democratically elected government.
“The plan for the next period involves actions with the involvement of diversionists with military training, camouflaged in civilian clothes, who will undertake violent actions, attack some state buildings, and even take hostages,” Sandu told reporters at a briefing.
Transnistria is de-facto controlled by Russia since 1992, the ECHR ruled. Russia has violated human rights and the right to freedom and security in Transnistria.
In her interview, published on 22 January 2022, President of Moldova, Maia Sandu said: "Of course, it is an important task for us to find a solution (on Transnistria). But this solution must be peaceful, diplomatic. It must be a solution that respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. And reintegration must result in a functional state. These three elements are extremely important”.
