DISINFO: The West carries out subversive activity in Russia through Navalny

SUMMARY

What the West is doing now: we openly see how they are conducting information subversive activities with the use of special services on the territory of the Russian Federation. A vivid example is the dubious film of a dubious inmate blogger [Navalny], where representatives of the special services give a closed document, that is, an official identification [of Putin in Stasi]. And no one comments on it.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Alexei Navalny.

The German Stasi's archives, used in Alexei Navalny's investigative video on Vladimir Putin, Sergey Chemezov and Nikolay Tokarev are open and have been used by researchers in the past.

Prior to Navalny's film, the same Stasi's archive photos of Vladimir Putin and Sergey Chemezov were published in 2014 by American scholar Karen Dawisha in her book "Putin's kleptocracy". Vladimir Putin's photo from the Stasi archive was also released by TV channel NTV in 2019.
