Disinfo: The West is considering a military attack against Russia despite its nuclear capabilities

Summary

The West realises that its global positions in economic, military, and political spheres are eroding. Hence it decided to slow down the development of other countries, Russia and China in the first place. The West carries out an information war, prevents Russia from getting foreign investment and new technologies. This is a classic imperialistic war similar to previous global wars. Two World Wars erupted due to controversies among capitalist countries. The West is contained by nuclear arms, but nuclear fear is diminishing. In the end, the western countries can start direct military conflict against Russia notwithstanding its nuclear capabilities.

Disproof

This publication is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the disintegration of the West and western bodies, imperialist aggressive West aiming to encircle Russia and to destabilise China. It also promotes historical revisionism about WWII by putting the blame on capitalist countries.

The claim about West's and NATO's plans to wage a war against Russia was addressed on NATO's official website: "Any claims that NATO is preparing an attack on Russia are absurd."

The beginning of WWII was laid by cooperation between Hitler's Germany and the USSR. The Non-Aggression Pact between Germany and the Soviet Union, also known as the "Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact" (Hitler-Stalin Pact) was signed on August 23, 1939. After its conclusion, Nazi Germany and the USSR became allies for 22 months. The agreement was accompanied by a secret supplementary protocol on the delimitation of areas of mutual interest in Eastern Europe. In particular, Hitler and Stalin agreed to divide Poland. The agreement also indicated that the Baltic states of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, as well as Bessarabia and Finland, also belong to the respective areas of interest of Germany and the USSR.

See earlier disinformation cases alleging that the West destroyed the USSR, that the Hong Kong protests are the West’s revenge on China for not waging war against Russia, and that the West's objective is to encircle Russia entirely thanks to the "Anaconda ring" and "Great Turan" doctrines.

Disinfo: US destroyer violated Russian territorial waters

If you ask where would the war between the United States and Russia start at sea? The answer would be the following: in the Peter the Great Gulf. Because the US destroyer’s “John McCain” recent violation of Russian territorial waters in this region creates all the precursors for that.

Disproof

A recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the US preparing war against Russia.

The vessel (USS John McCain) mentioned in the article was performing what the US Navy describes as a freedom of navigation operation, or FONOP, in the vicinity of Peter the Great Gulf, which Russia claims as Russian territorial waters, but that the United States considers international waters.

Disinfo: The US and some European countries interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign states

There is ample evidence of gross interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, both by the United States and those who follow in their footsteps, and some European capitals. They continue to use the dirty methods of so-called colour revolutions, including manipulating public opinion, supporting openly anti-government forces, promoting their radicalisation. We see how these methods are applied to the Republic of Belarus.

Disproof

Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative framing popular protests as Western-backed 'colour revolutions', part of a campaign to portray massive mobilisations in Belarus as a destabilisation effort orchestrated from abroad.

There is no evidence that the protests in Belarus are funded and organised by neighbouring or foreign countries.
