Disinfo: The West promotes Russophobia in Georgia

The West intentionally promotes Russophobia in Georgia. And it was started by Georgian dissidents 30 years ago. Abkhazia and Tskhinvali lost in 1988-89 when Georgian dissidents started to spread Russophobia.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Russophobia.

Cases in the EUvsDisinfo database focus on messages in the international information space that are identified as providing a partial, distorted, or false depiction of reality and spread key pro-Kremlin messages. This does not necessarily imply, however, that a given outlet is linked to the Kremlin or editorially pro-Kremlin, or that it has intentionally sought to disinform. EUvsDisinfo publications do not represent an official EU position, as the information and opinions expressed are based on media reporting and analysis of the East Stratcom Task Force.

The US and the EU govern Georgia

No sovereign Georgia exists. Real governors and legislators sit in Washington, Brussels, Strasbourg, and the Venice Commission. Georgia fulfils their will.

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative as if Georgia is ruled by the West and cooperation with the Western institutions destroys the country's sovereignty.

Media Development Foundation's media monitoring results revealed that the narrative that the West is meddling in sovereign affairs of Georgia and virtually run the country, is one of the main trends of anti-Western propaganda in the country.

The project ‘Ukraine’ is over

There is no doubt that Ukraine was one of the geopolitical projects. Under the temporary government of Kerensky, it pursued one goal, during the Soviet Union the goal was another, and then a different goal in the post-Soviet era. Finally, Ukraine became a headache.

The project ‘Ukraine’ is now over. A viable and complete Ukraine is no longer needed. Neither the geopolitical poles, nor the regional and neighbouring states, nor the people who are in conflict need this country. Now Ukraine is like a deadly wounded animal, and every interested party wants to get a bigger piece.

This is recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative undermining Ukrainian statehood.

Ukraine is a sovereign nation-state, not a project. In 1991 Ukraine gained its independence from the Soviet Union. The Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine was adopted on July 16, 1990, Ukraine is recognised in international law as a sovereign nation-state, with its own flag, nationality, language etc. Ukraine is a sovereign, independent state with a democratically-elected president and parliament.

NATO, the US, EU, IMF and the World Bank aim to establish political, military and economic control over Serbia

NATO, the US, EU, IMF and the World Bank desire to establish political, military and economic control over Serbia. NATO, especially the US, but also the EU, IMF, and World Bank are ready to take complete control over Serbia as soon as the [Serbian] government makes the first false move.

Conspiracy narrative without evidence. Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative on the efforts of NATO, the US, and the EU to dictate policies and control governments across Europe - see examples of cases here, here and here.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia has set its European integration as one of the most important foreign policy objectives.
