The West started a war against the Eurasian Economic Union; the coup in Ukraine was part of it

Summary

The US ruling class is concerned that the Eurasian Economic Union is a reincarnation of the USSR. That is why the West started a war against the EAEU.

An escalation of the West-Russia relations resulted from the West’s intention to kill the EAEU in its cradle. It came right after Putin, Nazarbayev, and Lukashenka declared the establishment of the EAEU. A strong blow to the EAEU was the coup in Ukraine.

The EAEU will continue to be attacked. The use of disagreements between the EAEU countries, development of isolationism in Russia and Russophobic nationalism in other EAEU countries will be part of anti-EAEU activities.

Disproof

This message is a conspiracy consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin narratives about West's anti-Russian activities and attempts to disrupt Russia's relations with allies as well as a coup d’état in Ukraine.

The escalation of West-Russia relations resulted from the Russian annexation of Crimea and Russia's destructive actions in Ukrainian Donbas and not from the West's attempt to kill the EAEU. The Council of the EU is clear in this respect: "Since March 2014, the EU has progressively imposed restrictive measures against Russia. The measures were adopted in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the deliberate destabilisation of Ukraine." Read more about the EU sanctions against Russia over the Ukraine crisis.

As for Ukraine, there was no coup d’état in 2014. The spontaneous onset of massive Euromaidan protests was a reaction of the Ukrainian population to the sudden departure of President Yanukovych from the Association Agreement with the European Union and to the brutal dispersal of student protest actions on 30 November 2013. The US may be preparing to restart nuclear tests

The accusations of the US that Russia is carrying out low-yield nuclear tests are actually intended to cover its own nuclear tests, which may be resumed soon on a bigger scale, according to Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Disproof

No evidence given to sustain the claim.

The US hasn’t carried out any nuclear tests since 1992 and there are no hints that it is preparing to resume them. The statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and its representatives seems to be a classical defensive affirmation, launching accusations against the other side after being accused itself.

Russia is the main investor in Moldova

Russia is the main investor in the Republic of Moldova.

Disproof

This pro-Kremlin narrative aims to show Moldova as a country dependant on Russia. This type of narrative is used in reference to other countries, too - see a similar example here.

According to the Moldova State News Agency, in 2018, more than 80% of foreign direct investments were drawn to Moldova from the European Union. Investors from the Commonwealth of Independent States countries accounted for 6% of the accumulated capital.

A Ukrainian general has conspired against Zelenskyy

A Ukrainian general in Donbas ignored the orders of President Zelenskyy to establish a ceasefire. Instead, he ordered to continue military actions.

Disproof

This message is aimed to question the powers and legitimacy of Ukrainian authorities and is consistent with a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about Ukrainian statehood.

There have been no statements made by President Zelenskyy or his representatives concerning the alleged violation of ceasefire by the Ukrainian Army and insubordination of high-ranking military officers to Ukraine’s president.
