DISINFO: The West using Ukraine as a tool to undermine peace and security in the Black Sea region

Western countries will not get anything good from this. They will only jeopardise their own safety.

Ukraine is not ruled on the orders of a belligerent West or the US. Ukraine's territorial integrity is respected by most of the world but was violated by Russia in 2014. Ukraine is not a Russophobic country. It had to react to Russia's aggressive actions in Eastern Ukraine and the occupation and illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014.

The political decisions in Ukraine are taken by the legitimately elected President and Verkhovna Rada. Ukraine is a sovereign and independent state. Ukraine is not controlled by any foreign government or organisation. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are respected by almost the whole world.
The EU, the US, and other Western partners support the democratic development of Ukraine in accordance with the UN Charter’s principles of non-interference into internal affairs and respect towards territorial integrity and political independence. Based on the respect for common values the EU's relations with Ukraine promote deeper political ties and stronger economic links. The relations between the US and Ukraine are bilateral relations between two independent countries. The US policy is centred on realising and strengthening a stable, democratic, prosperous, and free Ukraine, more closely integrated into Europe and Euro-Atlantic structures.
