The reality on the line of contact of forces in Donbas is frightening, the provocations of the Ukrainian military are not single, but multiple. Russia, not being a party to the conflict, cannot ensure a comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas, but uses its influence to implement agreements. Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict and is interested in Kyiv overcoming the political and economic crisis.
There is no independent Ukraine. It is a puppet regime completely dependent on the Americans. Decisions on the key problems of war and peace are not made in Kyiv, these decisions are taken in Washington. The Americans are against the Minsk agreements because using the war on Donbas they want to increase the pressure [on Russia] and to overthrow Vladimir Putin.
The Americans need a junta in Ukraine that pursues a policy of state terrorism, de-Russification, and turns Ukraine into anti-Russia.
Multiple recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian statehood, and the Minsk agreements, also claiming that Ukraine is a Russophobic state and that the US is trying to change the political regime in Russia.
Ukraine is a sovereign and independent state with a democratically-elected president and parliament. The decisions are taken by the Ukrainian authorities: the President, the Verkhovna Rada, and the judiciary. Ukraine is not controlled by the US or any other foreign government or organisation. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are respected by almost the whole world. Ukraine is a member of numerous international organisations. It has hundreds of diplomatic and consular representations across the world.
The US has expressed full-fledged support to the Minsk agreements, emphasizing that it is the only means of resolving the war in Donbas.
In fact, the war in Donbas was provoked by Russia. There is irrefutable evidence of direct Russian military involvement in eastern Ukraine. The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has stated that “the information available suggests that the situation within the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol amounts to an international armed conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. This international armed conflict began at the latest on 26 February 2014 when the Russian Federation deployed members of its armed forces to gain control over parts of the Ukrainian territory without the consent of the Ukrainian Government."
The European Union stated in July 2014 that "arms and fighters continue flowing into Ukraine from the Russian Federation".
Ukraine is not a Russophobic country. It had to react to Russia's aggressive actions in Eastern Ukraine and the occupation of Crimea in 2014.
