Disinfo: There is no sexual discrimination in Russia

Summary

Russia has never had, nor has, nor will it have anything restrictions of rights based on sexual orientation, race, or religious beliefs. Let the person grow up first, become an adult, then let him decide his own destiny. Nothing should be imposed; that is what we are against.

Disproof

The persecution of sexual minorities in Russia is a critical, ongoing issue which includes violence, employment discrimination and social stigma.

According to the NGO ILGA-Europe, Russia is the fourth-worst European country for LGBT persons to live in.

The true extent of anti-LGBT discrimination in Russia is difficult to assess, given that the state does not compile statistics on violence against sexual minorities. Nor does the legal system confer any specific protections on LGBT persons; Article 63 of the Criminal Code counts "political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred" among factors aggravating punishment for violent offences, but this provision does not extend to sexual and gender minorities.

Independent studies show that LGBT hate crimes doubled between 2013 and 2017, with researchers attributing the increase to the 2013 federal law banning "gay propaganda." The most recent report by Russia's SOVA Center, a non-governmental hate crime watchdog, noted another spike in anti-LGBT violence in 2018-19. The situation is especially dire in Chechnya, where homophobic violence is not only tacitly permitted, but routinely perpetrated by regional law enforcement.

The USA is planning a coup in Bulgaria in order to subsequently blame Russia

The USA is planning to replace the current Bulgarian government with a more obedient one, which will follow the instructions of the US more closely. The US is behind the release of compromising materials against the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. The objective of the US is to compromise the joint energy projects between Bulgaria and Russia.

Disproof

The article adapts the widespread anti-US narrative of US interference into the domestic affairs of another country or so called colour revolutions.

Massive foreign interference in the voting for the Constitution in Russia: NATO activates its paid agents

NATO’s special operatives have been meddling in the current constitutional referendum in Russia. NATO, together with the Ukrainian special forces from the 16th and 72nd Centers for Information and Psychological Operations at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, use disinformation and propagandistic tactics to disturb the democratic process in the referendum. The NATO and Ukrainian operatives have formed an active programme of disinformation to the Russian population through temporary  one-day disinformation websites, disinformative media and Ukrainian bot-farms. These operatives’ objectives are to persuade Russians to ignore the voting process for amendments to the Russian Constitution. They also spread distorted information about the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia, by presenting inflated numbers and suggesting that voting will kill voters.

Disproof

This is a disinformation narrative about the aggressive West and the so-called "colour revolutions". See a similar case here.

No evidence has been given to prove the involvement of either NATO or the Ukrainian special forces in the recent Russian referendum or with regards to the one day websites, bot disinformation farms etc. Furthermore, there is no substantive evidence in any reports or media of the existence of the 16th and 72nd Ukrainian Centers for Information and Psychological Operations.

The West is trying to review the results of the Nuremberg trials

We see many attempts to present history in a completely different way. For example, Western officials, summing up the results of World War II, only talk about the contribution of the USA and Great Britain, deliberately ignoring the key role of the USSR in the victory over fascism. They try to revise the results of the Nuremberg Tribunal.

Disproof

Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation on World War II and historical revisionism, accusing the West of rewriting history and trying to deprive Russia of its glorious victory over Nazi Germany. The claim about the attempted revision of the results of the Nuremberg trials, is speculative with no evidence provided. This disinformation narrative baselessly accuses Western countries of rewriting history and labels anyone daring to challenge the Kremlin’s version as “Russophobic”.

Western historians acknowledge the role played by the USSR in defeating Nazism and do not question the Soviet contribution to the victory in WWII and the status of the USSR as a country which had won in WWII.
