Disproof

No evidence given. The claim is based on a statement of military leader of Russian-backed separatists in Donbas.

Ukrainian boats illegally crossed the Russian maritime border

In late November, Ukraine’s Berdyansk and Nikopol gunboats and the Yany Kapu tugboat illegally crossed the Russian maritime border as they sailed toward the Kerch Strait, the entrance to the Sea of Azov. The Ukrainian vessels were seized by Russia after failing to respond to legal demands to leave the area.

Moscow described the incident as a clear provocation in violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and promised to suppress any attempts to challenge its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Disproof

On November 25 border patrol boats belonging to Russia’s FSB security service seized two small Ukrainian armoured artillery vessels and a tug boat and their crews after opening fire at them, wounding several Ukrainian servicemen. Russia argued that they were in Russian waters. However a bilateral treaty between Russia and Ukraine, signed in 2003 and ratified by Russia in 2004, governs the use of the Kerch strait and the Sea of Azov, which in the treaty is considered to be the “internal waters” of both Russia and Ukraine.

Ukraine intends to punish and kill civilians in Donbas

Ukraine will come and deal with collaborators in Donbas. Ukraine is intimidating people and planning to kill them.

Disproof

No evidence given.

The TV host refers to the interview with Ukraine's chief military prosecutor, Anatoliy Matios, where he did not say such a thing. The video excerpt is shown, wherein prosecutor Matios says that Ukraine will eventually have to undergo the process of lustration and assess collaboration.

The US is paying for Ukrainian security forces and Ukrainian provocations

Ukraine’s provocative actions, aimed at confrontation with Russia, are fuelled by foreign curators, who also pay for these actions. Recently, the US had to earmark more funds to Ukrainian security forces and provide an oversight over them. The proof for that is a list of military tenders by the US State Department, which includes equipment and services for Ukraine.

Disproof

The tender list is publicly available on the US Embassy in Ukraine web site. The equipment and services are devoted to Ukraine in the framework of aid and partnership programmes. The false narrative about Ukraine provoking Russia is a recurring one, so is the message about Ukraine colluding with the West.
