Ukraine is under the external control of the US

Summary

Ukraine need to play along with the Americans. They must do everything the United States like because it is they who introduced external control, which Mr. Zelenskyy is not ready to fight.

Disproof

No evidence given. Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the EU and US relations with Ukraine.

Ukraine is a sovereign state. The relations between the US and Ukraine are bilateral relations between two independent countries.  The USA recognised Ukraine as an independent state on 25th December 1991.  U.S. policy is centred on realising and strengthening a stable, democratic, prosperous, and free Ukraine more closely integrated into Europe and Euro-Atlantic structures.

The EU triggered conflict in Ukraine in 2014

The EU triggered conflict in Ukraine in 2014.

Billion-euro programmes, such as those of the “Eastern Partnership of the EU” (EaP) with six former Soviet republics (Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), dictate the so-called European values, expand the sphere of influence and markets. Unwise association agreements and interference by the so-called European politicians in the internal affairs of states sometimes even trigger conflicts, as was the case in Ukraine after the coup d’état in 2014 (and as is currently happening in Venezuela). Deepened free trade with Ukraine has so far had no desired effects: corruption, war, poverty. Do European values look like this?

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about the Eastern Partnership, the war in Ukraine and Ukraine's statehood.

It was not the European Union, but Russia, which triggered military conflict in Ukraine.

The newly adopted Ukrainian language law is a racist law

The newly adopted Ukrainian language law is a racist law.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Ukraine and discrimination against Russian speakers, and in particular about the recent Ukrainian language law.

The law requires all Ukrainian citizens to know the state language and that it be used while performing official duties.  The new law also requires that 90% of TV and film content be in Ukrainian and for Ukrainian-language printed media and books to make up at least 50% of the total output.  There are exemptions for private communications and religious ceremonies.  The law would allow some providers of health services and law enforcement to use other languages, such as Russian, by mutual agreement.  The law does not define what language is to be used in private conversations.

The Strache-scandal: An operation by German and Spanish secret services

The political scandal in Austria was an operation by German intelligence, with the help of Spanish and two other countries’ secret services.

Disproof

No evidence given, conspiracy theory.

Heinz-Christian Strache was forced to resign due to allegations of corruption, after offering government contacts to a supposed Russian investor in exchange for help to his  Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) in the 2017 national elections.
