Disinfo: Ukraine launches language patrols against Russian-speakers

Ukraine launches patrols to control the use of the Ukrainian language.

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Russophobia in Ukraine.

A wave of claims about so-called "Ukrainisation" and persecution of the Russian-speaking population has emerged with renewed vigour after the bill about the use of the Ukrainian language in the public sphere came into force. In fact, there are no mentions in the bill about special patrols.

See a similar story: the war in Ukraine is related to the usage of the Russian language. It can be regarded as a consequence of the forced Ukrainisation of Russians in the country.

Crimea is a legal part of Russia

Crimea is Russia, it has always been, is and will be!

Crimea is a legal part of Russia, and there can be no compromise with Kyiv on this issue. The reunification of the peninsula with Russia took place within the framework of international and Ukrainian laws. Crimea returned to Russia following a referendum in 2014. 96.77% of the inhabitants of the peninsula and 95.6% of the voters of Sevastopol voted for the accession.

Kyiv did not recognise the results of the vote and is making plans to “return” the region. Moscow indicates that the referendum was held in compliance with all international norms and the question of ownership of the peninsula is closed forever.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the annexation of Crimea, claiming that Crimea voted to rejoin Russia through a legal referendum.

No international body recognises the so-called referendum in Crimea. The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution entitled “Territorial integrity of Ukraine”, stating that the referendum in Crimea was not valid and could not serve as a basis for any change in the status of the peninsula. On 17 December 2018, the UN General Assembly confirmed its non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea.

Democrats suppress dissent and violate human rights in the US

Unlike the pessimistic and frank Republicans, Democrats are characterised by greater hypocrisy about the need to promote democracy and human rights in the international arena, and the importance of this to them, despite their suppression of dissent and their violation of human rights in the United States itself today.

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about the US democratic Party overturning democracy and human rights, instigating a civil war, and committing mass election fraud.

Although democracy in US and in the entire democratic world today faces multiple and serious challenges and threats, it is not true that the Democratic Party is suppressing peaceful dissent and violating human rights. The Democratic Party is only a political party in a system based on the rule of law where human rights are guaranteed and handled by independent law enforcement institutions like the police and the judiciary.

Pfizer kills, but Sputnik V is blamed: Our vaccine is stuck in the throat of the West

Pfizer kills, but Sputnik V gets the blame. Our vaccine is stuck in the throat of the West.

The West attempts to devaluate the achievements of the Russians. Twitter has restricted the access to the Sputnik V account. The Russian vaccine, that has demonstrated its efficiency, is under a massive information attack, while the deadly Pfizer vaccine is failing.

This is part of a disinformation campaign aiming to discredit any Western vaccines.

The claim that the West, in particular, Europe, is attacking Sputnik V vaccine is not supported by evidence. In the past the international media have reported both about the positive results of Sputnik V and international concerns about incomplete clinical trials.
