US support for the current Kiev regime does not make Europe or Ukraine united or free, in fact, the US simply takes sides in the Ukrainian civil war, and of course, the confrontation will continue in the future. By backing one Ukrainian group against another, the US authorities are escalating the civil conflict in Ukraine.
Ukraine has lost its statehood and is currently ruled by Washington and Brussels, mostly by the US embassy in Ukraine. Belarus would have faced same fate, had Washington and Brussels, assisted by their puppets, succeeded with a coup d’etat in August 2020. The only guarantee of the statehood of Belarus is the completion of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. If Belarus had chosen European integration, it would have suffered from civil and interconfessional war, marauding and collapse of statehood. If Russia had not been there, all post-Soviet countries would not have differed from African countries, enslaved by the western colonisers.
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about Ukrainian statehood, portraying Ukraine as a non-sovereign country, and about Belarus as an integral part of the Russian world and its close integration with Russia as the only hope to avoid alleged Western colonial intentions.
This message puts forward a false dilemma about the direction of Belarus and other post-Soviet countries' political development (close integration with Russia vs. unavoidable degradation) and promotes a classic pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the West-driven colour revolution attempt in Belarus in 2020.
There is no basis for the claims that the Western states were trying to organise a ‘coup d'etat’ in Belarus. The protests in Belarus drew participants from broad segments in society and erupted to contest the results of the presidential election on 9 August 2020, which were not monitored by independent experts, and are largely considered fraudulent by both international observers and a big part of the Belarusian society. On 19 August 2020, the European Council called Belarusian elections neither free nor fair.
As for Ukraine, it is a sovereign and independent state with a democratically-elected president and parliament. Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity have been violated by continuos acts of aggression by Russian armed forces since 2014.
See earlier disinformation cases with similar false dilemma claims: Belarus faces either normal development under Russia or a forced Polonization and economic devastation; the only possible scenario for Ukraine and Belarus to prevent their descent into Nazism through the politicisation of national clothes is to become a Russian western federal area; the direction of Belarus and other post-Soviet countries' political development is either a union with Russia or unavoidable degradation.
