Ukraine plans an offensive; a chemical attack might be planned

Summary

Thousands of troops together with Western instructors have been moved towards the border with Russia. Ukraine is also reportedly deploying tanks to Mariupol, and the separatists have seen chemical warfare vehicles – which could mean a chemical attack is being planned.

Disproof

No evidence of any war preparations by Ukraine. Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about chemical weapons in the war in Ukraine, it also repeatedly accuses others of chemical weapons use to hide this use by its ally the Assad regime.

Pro-Kremlin sources repeatedly accused Ukraine of plans for escalation without providing any evidence, see e.g. euvsdisinfo.eu/report/ukraine-planning-major-hostilities-during-the-world-cup/; euvsdisinfo.eu/report/ukraine-is-increasing-its-military-presence-in-donbas-and-is-preparing-a-major-provocation/; or euvsdisinfo.eu/report/possible-that-kiev-plans-provocation-with-chemical-weapons-in-donbas/

‘Like denying the Holocaust’: Ukraine makes post-WWII nationalist fighters as privileged as war vets

Ukrainian parliament has passed a law, which gives Nazi-collaborating nationalist fighters, who fought against the Soviet Union after the end of World War II, the same status as the people who fought against Nazis during the war.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about Ukraine and the Nazis.

None of the organizations mentioned in the new Ukrainian law about social protection of participants in the struggle for country's independence in the 20th century are Nazi, the Insider notes.

Poroshenko is willing to provoke bloodshed to get re-elected

Poroshenko is, as we see in Kerch, as we see in Donbas, willing to do anything and provoke any kind of bloodshed in order to secure his re-election, however improbable it is.
