DISINFO: Ukrainian authorities are controlled by Washington and each presidential candidate coordinates with the US

SUMMARY

In Ukraine, each presidential candidate coordinates his or her actions either with an American ambassador or with the US State Department directly. As a result, Washington does not even need to interfere in the local monkey business. However, at some point, the US may decide that the local games went too far and start threatening US strategic interests. In this case, Ukrainian authorities will begin receiving direct orders from Washington.

RESPONSE

This message contains recurring disinformation narratives about Western meddling in Ukraine's elections through US control over presidential candidates and about Ukraine as a state under foreign control.

Whereas disinformation statements about Western, US and EU control over Ukraine are most frequent, at times Israel and individual EU member states such as Germany are claimed to be the controlling parties.
