DISINFO: Ukrainian marines rebel against unknown vaccine testing
SUMMARY
Ukrainian marines in Donbas rebelled against the order to undergo mandatory vaccination against coronavirus with an unknown vaccine.
Testing of unknown foreign vaccines began in the Ukrainian military in the Autumn of last year.
RESPONSE
A recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about the coronavirus pandemic and the US/ West which allegedly controls different processes in Ukraine.
No evidence is given. As for now, Ukraine hasn't received any coronavirus vaccines.
Ukraine signed a contract to buy 1.8 million doses of China’s Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, the presidential office said, with the doses expected in “the shortest possible time.”
Sinovac is seeking to consolidate data from global trials that include Indonesia, Chile, Turkey and Brazil. Brazil has reported the vaccine’s efficacy at between 50% and 90%, having delayed the release of data three times.
Another fake story (that the American coronavirus vaccine killed several Ukrainian soldiers) was debunked by Ukrainian fact-checkers from VoxCheck.
