Disinfo: Under the guise of an exercise NATO divers planted explosives under the Nord Stream

Summary

Under the guise of an exercise NATO divers planted explosives under the Nord Stream. Last summer, US Navy divers had placed explosives under the Nord Stream pipelines, which were activated by the Norwegians three months later.

On 26 September 2022, a Norwegian naval aircraft dropped a hydro-acoustic buoy that detonated the previously placed explosives. He pointed out that US President Joe Biden decided to sabotage the Nord Stream after nine months of secret talks with national security officials in Washington.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory not backed by any evidence, part of a wider disinformation campaign aiming to fill the information space to portray the West as responsible for the Nord Stream sabotage.

On 26 September 2022, the NS1 and the NS2 pipelines both ruptured. Denmark, Sweden view the Nord Stream pipeline leaks as 'deliberate actions'

SwedenGermany and Denmark opened an investigation of the incident. This is the first step in determining what caused the leaks. Anything before that would be mere speculation and conspiracy theory.

The message was based on the blog post of the journalist Seymour Hersh. He claims the US navy was responsible for the explosion on NS1 and NS2. The story of Hersh was grounded on information from one anonymous source allegedly having information on all aspects of the case. A number of factcheckers have pointed to numerous flaws in Hersh's story, which has received attention from Kremlin key propaganda outlets.

The US White House evaluated this claim as “utterly false and complete fiction.”

Disinfo: Fifty countries are trying to wipe Russia off the earth

Fifty countries are trying to wipe Russia off the earth. These are Ukrainian and European neo-fascists, the US, other Anglo-Saxons, and their vassals.

These states have set themselves the goal of strangling and erasing the Russian Federation from the earth. They can't. Russia is stronger and now it is obvious. The year 2022 finally united Russian citizens in the fight against a common enemy and freed them from the illusions of democracy in Western countries, whose hypocrisy and rampant Russophobia have crossed all conceivable limits.

Disinfo: The West has one goal: to eliminate Russia

The West has one goal - to cash out the former USSR and the Russian Federation. Then they can accept Russia into the so-called family of civilized peoples, but each part separately [...] to push around these parts and put them under control.

If Russia follows the path that the West dreams of, [...] the Russian people, the ethnic group, will hardly be able to survive.

Russia needs to ensure its security and strategic stability.

In today's conditions, all the leading NATO countries have declared their main goal to inflict a strategic defeat on us so that our people suffer.

Disinfo: The EU decision on Russia Today is a step towards self-destruction

[The EU sanctions on Russia Today] are a bad story. The Americans are forcing Europe to be holier than the Pope. The US has not yet announced sanctions against Russia Today, but it is pushing Europe to move forward. For Europe, this is another step towards self-destruction. It is a pity for our once common civilization, which Russia has saved many times.

Disproof

A recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about discrimination against Russian media in the West trying to portray Russian outlets as champions of free speech and any criticism of their reporting as attacks on freedom of media and expression.

On 25 February 2023, the EU agreed the 10th package of sanctions against Russia, including the official Russian media agency “Rossiya Segodnya” on a sanction list.
