The United States use terrorism in their own interests

Summary

The United States uses terrorism in its own interests, said Russian Senator Frants Klintsevich. This “deeply sophisticated” mechanism is, according to him, indispensable for the American special services. Thanks to a complicated intelligence structure, it is not possible to catch the United States out. This mechanism is profoundly sophisticated and it works.

Disproof

No evidence given. The claim is similar to a conspiracy theory

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation that the US is supporting terrorist and ISIS in Syria.

Freedom House responds to political commands

Listing of Azerbaijan among the “not free” states in the 2019 Freedom House report is a result of a political order. The political framing of this organisation’s annual reports is visible. This organisation’s assessment of Azerbaijan is subjective. This report is a very ugly step taken to put Azerbaijan under the influence of certain foreign political and economic circles.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory. No evidence given.

Freedom House Freedom in the World index is produced each year by a team of in-house and external analysts and expert advisers from the academic, think tank, and human rights communities. The analysts, who prepare the draft reports and scores, use a broad range of sources, including news articles, academic analyses, reports from nongovernmental organisations, individual professional contacts, and on-the-ground research.

Legitimacy of Ukrainian government almost at zero

The legitimacy of the Ukrainian parliament is today at 1.5-2%. They do not have the legitimacy that gives them the right to speak on behalf of the people on issues like on accession to NATO and the EU.

Disproof

An unfounded claim on the approval rate of the Ukrainian political institutions.

According to a poll, conducted by Razumkov Center in June 2018, the support of the Parliament is 10,3%, the Government – 13,7%, the President – 13,8%.

EU grant for Georgian media to start ‘propaganda offensive’ popularising influx of migrants

The EU-funded “Sustaining Migration Management in Georgia” (ENIGMMA 2) project, financed with a 4.5-million-euro grant, will train the Georgia media in how to mount a “propaganda offensive,” which will persuade Georgians of the need to receive foreign migrants and pave the way for mass migration to Georgia.

Disproof

Migration – either as a cause of failed integration of migrants or as a threat to states’ national identity or sovereignty – is a common issue exploited by the Kremlin.

ENIGMMA 2, launched in 2017, is a three-year project that builds on the earlier ENIGMMA project, which supported the Government of Georgia in the implementation of migration-related areas of the EU-Georgia visa dialogue in the run-up to the EU visa liberalisation for Georgia. Like ENIGMMA, ENIGMMA 2 focuses on bilateral EU-Georgia migration issues and aims to contribute to the sustainable enhancement of mobility and people-to-people contacts between the EU and Georgia. The media component of the ENIGMMA 2 project is small and, like the rest of the project, has nothing to do with migration to Georgia from any third countries.
