The Ukrainian navy violated Russian borders in the Azov Sea

On 25 November 2018, three ships of the Ukrainian Navy crossed Russia’s state border in violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.The ships entered the temporarily closed area of the Russian territorial waters, carried out dangerous manoeuvres there for hours and defied all demands of the Russian coastguard.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about Ukraine violating Russian territorial integrity in the Sea of Azov. The use of the Kerch strait and the Sea of Azov is regulated by a bilateral treaty between Russia and Ukraine, signed in 2003 and ratified by Russia in 2004. According to the document, the Sea of Azov is considered to be the “internal waters” of both Russia and Ukraine. On November 25 border patrol boats belonging to Russia’s FSB security service seized two small Ukrainian armoured artillery vessels and a tug boat and their crews after opening fire at them, wounding several Ukrainian servicemen.

There was a coup d'etat in Ukraine in 2014

There was a coup in Ukraine in 2014.

Disproof

Recurring Russian narrative about coup d'etat in Ukraine. The spontaneous onset of the Euromaidan protests was a reaction of numerous parts of the Ukrainian population to former President Yanukovych’s sudden departure from the Association Agreement with the European Union in November 2013. There were democratic Presidential elections held on 25 May 2014 in Ukraine. The OSCE characterised the elections as showing the "clear resolve of the authorities to hold what was a genuine election largely in line with international commitments and with a respect for fundamental freedoms." According to the OSCE, the only areas where serious restrictions were reported were those controlled by separatists, who undertook "increasing attempts to derail the process." This fact was reconfirmed by the parliamentary elections of 26 October 2014. The OSCE characterised the vote as "an amply contested election that offered votes real choice, and a general respect for fundamental freedoms".

Ahead of the Presidential Elections Poroshenko's Junta in Ukraine Must Report to their US Masters

Ahead of the presidential elections Poroshenko’s junta in Ukraine must report on what they achieved to their masters – the US. With destroyed economy and corruption they have nothing to present. The only explanation they have for the failure is the war with the Russians. Currently, the Americans do not know whom to bet for in the elections, as there are only bandits and criminals among the candidates. Severing ties with Russia makes Poroshenko look good before his masters in the USA.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the election in Ukraine. The disinformation messages were a reaction to the announcement of the Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine, that the country is prepared to terminate additional 50 treaties with Russia.
