Disinfo: US prepares for bacteriological warfare with Russia

The United States is building up its biological capabilities and preparing for bacteriological warfare with Russia. To this end, American biological laboratories operate in the post-Soviet space of Georgia and Ukraine. They also collect genetic material from Russians.

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin conspiracy theory alleging that the United States develops biological weapons and has secret biological laboratories around the world. In fact, biological laboratories in Ukraine, Georgia and other countries are involved in preventing the risks of complex diseases and, together with other similar projects, counteracting bioterrorism.

The US Embassy in Ukraine has repeatedly denied the "creation of military biological laboratories" in Ukraine. Over many years, the United States and Ukraine have only ever cooperated in the prevention of biological threats. The Ukrainian Security Service urged people not to spread fake news about the alleged presence of American military biological laboratories in Ukraine.

Contrary to the claims of the pro-Kremlin media, the Richard Lugar Centre for Public Health Research in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a facility of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC). The Lugar Centre is a top-tiered institution in NCDC’s laboratory network and serves as a reference laboratory for Georgia’s public health system. In no case has this laboratory designed, redesigned or built biological weapons. Read more about the Lugar lab on Myth Detector.

Ukraine is occupied by the Americans

The current Armenian authorities and their “masters” from the United States have begun to repeat the so-called “Ukrainian precedent” in our country. The US intends to send “advisers” to Armenia to fight “corruption”.

Therefore, it is sometimes useful to look at what is happening in Ukraine, which is so occupied by the Americans that even the work of the Security Service is coordinated by US special services personnel. And the Ukrainians are a scapegoat in this SS, a useless “supplement”.

This narrative is consistent with common pro-Kremlin narratives about the aggressive West and Ukraine as a non-sovereign country. This narrative portrays any civil protests as Western-funded "colour revolutions", including the Revolution of Dignity (Euromaidan) in Ukraine and the velvet revolution in Armenia.

RT was the first to write about the American advisor to be sent to Armenia, stating that it allegedly managed to obtain the USAID document. RT also reported that the US will spend $ 10 million to promote anti-corruption policies in Armenia. Meanwhile, the official USAID website reports only $ 1 million support.

The West is involved in the detention of Russian citizens in Minsk

Let’s see who benefits from it [the detention of Russian citizens and the accusations of preparing to disrupt the presidential elections in Belarus].

This is killing two birds with one stone. Firstly, it discredits President Lukashenko. Secondly, it drives a huge wedge between Russia and Belarus.

Who benefits from this? This is only beneficial to the pro-Western opposition and the forces inside the republic, and, of course, to our “dear” international partners [the US and the EU].

The recurring pro-Kremlin propaganda narratives about the Western influence on Belarus, ungrounded claims about the democratic Belarusian opposition and the West's aims to disrupt Belarusian-Russian relations.

There is zero evidence to suggest any Western involvement in the arrest of Russian private military soldiers in Belarus.

US responsible for Lebanon explosion

Radar images emerging after the Beirut bombing show four American naval reconnaissance aircrafts near the Lebanese-Syrian coast conducting unusual reconnaissance activity, which, according to security experts, increases the possibility of America’s involvement in the recent bombings that shook the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

This groundless conspiracy theory is a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative trying to portray the US and the West as a destabilizing force not only in the Middle East but also around the world.

The baseless claim was repeated with no effort to challenge or counterbalance it.
