DISINFO: US trains in Romania to attack Russia

US military trains in Romania to attack Russia. Romania and the US conducted military drills near Crimea because it is a good bridgehead for executing the plan to break into Crimea.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative claiming that NATO is trying to encircle Russia.

There is no evidence that any state is trying to retake Crimea by force. In November, the US did hold joint drills with the Romanian Army "to demonstrate NATO's capability to quickly and effectively provide strategic deterrence options, deter theater adversaries, and shape the operational environment." Nothing suggests that it was an attempt to train for retaking Crimea.
