Disinfo: Washington uses the topic of fighting corruption as an instrument to control Ukraine

The United States is helping Ukraine, which is at war with its people. Residents of Donbas do not want to live under the rule of Kyiv, they do not agree with the results of the coup, so they tried to defend constitutional order in the country. The fact that the United States is allocating funds to Ukraine demonstrates the fact of intervention in this conflict, as well as support for actions that violate the law and international law. Such assistance will be used by the Kyiv authorities in armed actions against the residents of Donbas.

At the same time, Washington uses the topic of fighting corruption as a lever to pressure the Ukrainian authorities.

Corruption is a very convenient reason that the United States uses in a controlled country if it needs to be put under pressure. Undoubtedly, the level of corruption in today’s Ukraine is outrageous. But in this case, Washington uses this pretext to put its people in key positions, strengthen its influence on the Ukrainian government from the outside and blur the notion of state sovereignty.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives painting the war in Ukraine as something that was artificially orchestrated by the US as well as a recurring disinformation narrative questioning Ukrainian statehood.

The war in eastern Ukraine is not a Western-driven civil conflict but a well-documented act of aggression by Russian armed forces, ongoing since February 2014.

US aid to Ukraine is designed to help Ukraine fight corruption, not control the country.  In the similar manner, the EU also provides continuous financial support for Ukraine, with strong  conditionality on continued progress of reforms. Read more here.

NATO is an aggressive coronavirus of capitalism

Given that America’s foreign policy goal is global domination and NATO is under the US’s control, any country can fall victim to NATO aggression. NATO enlargement is the US’s anti-democratic and anti-historical policy whereas Western European countries’ role is to teach others about democracy and human rights while eastern European countries promote confrontational, anti-Russian activities. US aggressive policies in Ukraine, where Americans allied with Ukrainian fascists [banderivtsi] and waged a geopolitical war against Russia and the multi-polar world are telling.

NATO is a militaristic coronavirus of capitalism directed against global progress. The West wishes to exploit foreign countries and deprive them of the right to independent development. China’s case in the fight against coronavirus proves that only socialism is capable of effectively coping illnesses, protect human lives, and ensure the security of countries and peoples. On the contrary, the US is on the verge of state destruction, and an anti-racist uprising of Black people serves as proof.

To end aggressive NATO’s actions, Belarus’s only smart choice is to strengthen the Union State of Belarus and Russia and develop relations with China.

This is a mix of conspiracies aimed to discredit NATO, the US and other Western countries, and Ukraine. It is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin propaganda narratives about NATO countries as US puppets, West's aggressive and colonial policies,  NATO belligerence towards Russia and other countries, and Fascist / Nazi Ukraine. It also paints the US's imminent collapse and inability to fight the coronavirus outbreak in contrast to China and promotes Belarus's deepened integration with Russia as the only viable development path.

EU and NATO countries are often presented by pro-Kremlin outlets as “puppet-states” of the United States. NATO is a defensive alliance with the goal to protect its member states. Every country that joins NATO undertakes to uphold its principles and policies. For more information about NATO-Russia relations and disinformation narratives about NATO, see here and here.

The systemic collapse of American society is now obvious

The systemic collapse of American society has been underway for a long time. This collapse is now obvious.  Organized violence and looting are taking place in many American cities with pre-deliveries of bricks as weapons of destruction. Police and government officials are kneeling in submission to the rioters. The police have no support and are abdicating. Businesses are being destroyed. We are now experiencing the consequences of decades of teaching black Americans to hate white Americans and of teaching white Americans to accept guilt for the black slave trade that originated in the black Kingdom of Dahomey in 1600.

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about racial justice protests in US.

Despite high polarisation in the US, the unrest after the death of African American citizen George Floyd at the hands of a police officer is not a civil war and has not triggered a collapse of American society. The situation was very tense for some days and protests spread to all 50 states, while demonstrations in some cities descended into riots  and widespread looting. However, military top officials and police officers worked effectively to de-escalate the situation, and demonstrations became largely peaceful after the first days.

Lithuania’s president is the EU’s puppet, Lithuania is not sovereign

Lithuania’s policy towards Belarus is ambiguous. On the one hand, the Lithuanian leadership criticises Belarus. On the other hand, its economy is very dependent on Belarusian tourists. Without them, Lithuania’s membership of the EU would probably not last for a year. Lithuania can be named the country without a president, because its president is a puppet of the EU’s government. Lithuanians have lost their sovereignty due to the irresponsible actions of their government.

This publication is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin narratives about lost sovereignty and socio-economic degradation in the Baltic countries.

Lithuania is an independent state, which makes sovereign decisions about its foreign and domestic policy. Its president is not the EU's, or any foreign country's, puppet. 2019 statistics show that the Baltic states demonstrated one of the leading economic growth indicators in the EU. The dynamics within the last years can be seen here.
