Disinfo: Western countries have been actively trying to rewrite the history of World War II

In recent years, Western countries have been actively trying to rewrite the history of World War II, to belittle the role and contribution of the people of the former Soviet Union in the victory over fascism.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about WWII that is part of the Kremlin’s policy of historical revisionism.

The Western historians acknowledge the role played by the USSR in defeating Nazism and do not question the Soviet contribution to the victory in WWII and the status of the USSR as a country which had won in WWII.

See other examples of similar disinformation narratives claiming that  European countries try to rewrite history of the WWII – Russia preserves the truth,, that  The West wants to rewrite the history of WWII, that  EU fiercely rewrites the history of WWII, Poland lies about WW2 to weaken Russia's position or Revision of the WW2 history is the state position of Warsaw.

The EU hinders exports of Georgian honey to EU market

Georgian honey will never gain access to the European market, because the EU adopted special regulations which Georgia will fail to fulfill. There should be no pit latrines in an eight-kilometer radius from beehives that is unimaginable in Georgian reality. Georgian products will never gain a foothold on European and American markets, because no such opportunities have been opened up.

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative on the EU destroying Georgia's economy. After signing the Association Agreement (AA) with the EU and DCFTA, pro-Kremlin actors have been exploiting the disinformation that Georgian products will not have access to the European market.

In 2016, the European Union included Georgia in the list of “third countries” and allowed Georgian honey to be imported to the EU. Exports of Georgian products to the EU market are regulated under the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA), according to which Georgian honey enjoys quota-free access to the EU market. Beehives must be positioned in an area within a radius of 3 km,  free of contamination by chemicals, rather than 8 km, as claimed.

US protests are financed by George Soros in an attempt to prevent Trump’s re-election

An intention to destroy the balance in the relationship between white and black is not the only reason for the US protests. Everything is much more complicated. The name of financial speculator George Soros is openly […] announced. We have to remind that he is a “wallet” of colour revolutions and, thus, he decided to engage in a struggle with the current American president Donald Trump.

The story advances the pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative alleging that the racial justice protests in the US are being financed by George Soros.

There is no evidence to suggest that the protests in the US broke out through “top-down mobilisation,” or that someone is financing the protests. This narrative portrays any spontaneous disorders and civil uprisings in other states, very often the former Soviet republics, as Western-funded "colour revolutions".
