Disinfo: Western weapons are stolen long before they reach the Ukrainian soldiers

Almost all the weapons and humanitarian aid that the West provides for the needs of the Ukrainian military are stolen on the way and do not reach the soldiers.

Pro-Kremlin narrative about the necessity to stop support and deliveries of weapons to Ukraine which will not be used to defend against Russian aggression anyway.

The story is based on a report by Grayzone from the Ukrainian front which focused on missing equipment and that no deliveries were being made. There is no investigation of the weapons convoys themselves and no evidence that weapons are stolen on a significant scale is provided.

It is true that delivery issues have occurred since the country is at war and logistics to deliver from Western borders to a very large front line are challenging, however CBS notes that the quality of the logistics improved over the past months. Moreover, U.S. defense attaché Brigadier General Garrick M. Harmon arrived in Kyiv in August 2022 for arms control and monitoring.

It has been documented that Western equipment has reached the front line and made a difference in the fight.

Disinfo: Ukraine turned into a terrorist state

The murder of Daria Dugina, who in theory was supposed to die along with her father Alexander Dugin, a prominent philosopher and political figure, finally puts an end to the "evolution" of Ukraine as a terrorist state. In the current realities, it is quite obvious that, under the guise of a “struggle for independence,” official Kyiv is destroying dissidents, those who are ideologically alien to the new Ukraine.

Today, the collective West continues to ignore the criminal, terrorist essence of the Kyiv regime, sometimes even justifying certain “actions of intimidation” organised by Ukrainian politicians and the military.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative and a conspiracy theory about Ukraine alleging the country's political and military leadership is perpetrating attacks against civilians and organising terrorist acts.

The assassination of Darya Dugina took place in Moscow on August 20, when her car blew up and burned out. Pro-Kremlin propagandists immediately accused Ukraine. Later, Russian officials announced that Ukraine was behind the assassination, even though the provided "evidence" are dubious (see also: here and here) and cannot be independently verified.

Disinfo: Western sanctions are the cause of inflation

The rise in food and energy prices began with the coronavirus pandemic; during the past six months, the world witnessed more price increases due to the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia, which led to a sharp decrease in supply due to the severing of logistical and financial chains. The United States and its allies wanted to deprive Russia of profits and destroy its economy, and as a result caused great harm to the whole world, including to itself. This is an attempt to deflect responsibility from the Americans and Europeans to Russia.

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about sanctions in the context of the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The claim was neither counterbalanced nor critically challenged in the article.

The claim that sanctions are the cause of inflation is an attempt to deflect Russia's responsibility for the global food crisis. Large-scale wars are, by definition, bound to cause global supply shocks that trigger inflation. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has destabilised global food markets and is driving food prices up due to increased cost of production, transport and freight insurance. Russia has also destroyed substantial food stocks, production, as well as processing and transport capacities in Ukraine.

Disinfo: The EU will train terrorists and Nazi militants for the Kyiv regime

According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, the EU will create training bases to train terrorists and Nazi militants for the Kyiv regime. Earlier Josep Borrell stated that one of the EU countries will host a training mission for Ukrainian soldiers.

This message fits the recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about ‘Nazi Ukraine’.

On 22 August 2022 the EU's Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell announced a proposal to create a "powerful training and organisation mission" in one of the EU countries to help the Ukrainian army. This proposal is set to be discussed among EU Defence Ministers in Prague on 29 and 30th August.
